Successful gas trial LEONORA KOSAN in June 2009

The 8,000 m³ Ethylene carrier “LEONORA KOSAN” has been completed at the Korean SEKWANG SHIPYARD in June 2009. She is the seventh of a series of ten gas carriers for the Danish Shipowner Lauritzen Kosan.
The ship is 115 meters long, 18.60 meters wide, has a cargo capacity of 8,000 m³, and is able to cruises at a speed of 15.3 knots.
TGE has delivered the entire gas handling system including cargo tanks as well as the ship design. “LEONORA KOSAN” is a sister vessel of the “ISABELLA KOSAN”, which has won the prestigious Lloyd’s List ‘Ship of the Year’ Award 2008.
The gas trial was carried out under supervision of TGE’s engineers at Ulsan in Korea, where the gas plant performance and the fuel gas generation system has been tested successfully.
