Third 9,000m³ Ethylene/ LPG gas carrier for the UNIGAS pool

TGE Marine Gas Engineering GmbH completed the last of three 9,000m³ Ethylene/ LPG gas carriers for the UNIGAS pool build at STX Shipbuilding Co. at the beginning of March 2008. THETAGAS owned and operated by the German shipowner Sloman Neptun Schiffart-Aktiengesellschaft, located in Bremen was successfully commissioned with Propylene at the Formosa Plastic Corporation (FPC)Terminal in Mai Liao, Taiwan.
The gas plant was fully tested in attendance and under supervision of TGE Marine Gas Engineering personnel during the initial start up by the vessel’s own independent equipment. She commenced loading of about 5900mt of Propylene Cargo for her first commercial voyage for UNIGAS. Her maiden voyage to the final destination of a new FPC Terminal in Ningbo, P.R.China supported the initial start up of the 80.000m³ LPG Terminal constructed and supervised by TGE Gas Engineering.
THETAGAS will continue trading between Mai Liao and Ningbo with Propylene for another 3 to 4 voyages.
