Another two gas carrier projects completed

17 Oct 2008

The quick order of completed gas carrier projects continues:

In September 2008 another two  gas carriers have been delivered from the building yard and gas trials have been completed successfully under supervision of TGE engineers:

Beginning of September the 10,000 cbm Ethylene carrier “JBU MAAS” has been completed at SEKWANG HEAVY INDUSTRIES. She is the first of a series of three gas carriers for different Japanese owners and will operate in the UNIGAS pool. TGE has delivered the entire gas handling system including cargo tanks as well as the ship design. The gas trial was carried out in Korea, where the gas plant performance has been tested successfully with Ethylene cargo.

By end of September the sister ship “JBU FORTH” has been delivered from SEKWANG HEAVY INDUSTRIES to Owners and gas trial was performed with Ethylene cargo in Korea. Due to excellent preparation of the gas handling system all machinery have been started at the first push of the button, which finally resulted in a quick and very efficient gas trial.
